Accreditation

Accreditation is a common question and concern of parents, students, and university faculty members when investigating study abroad options.
How is ILS accredited?
- The International Leadership Semester is part of the European University of Rome.
- The university is 100% approved by the Italian State and internationally recognized as an institution of academic excellence.
- The ILS curriculum is fully accredited like all other classes in the university.
- Recently the Foreign Credentials Service of America (FCSA) reviewed the ILS transcript and confirmed that the Universita Europe di Roma is accredited by Italy’s Provincial Ministry of Education and has full state recognition.
- Swiss School of Management is EduQua certified. EduQua is the Swiss Quality Certificate for Institutes of Further Education
- Swiss School of Management in London is also accredited by ASIC.
- Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programs of the Swiss School of Management are accredited by the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
- Further, all credits awarded by the ILS or any other program at SSM, will be accepted and recognized by the member Universities of BUSINET.
How are credits transferred?
- Credits awarded by ILS can be easily transferred by following the normal procedures established by the students' own universities.
- Since ILS is accredited through the European University of Rome, students only need to ask their school’s study abroad director (and usually their academic guide as well) to help facilitate the transfer of college credit for ILS courses.
- This normally involves students filling out a form for their college acknowledging that they will receive credit for ILS classes upon successful completion of the program.
- At the end of the ILS program, the European University will send an official transcript to each student.
- By following their institution’s credit transfer policies, students can avoid the unnecessary and difficult situation of not being able to transfer credits upon completion of ILS.
